Gregory chose the same dwellings as Robin Hood, Nottingham, a fine place to muster up some mayhem. The band of merry men he forged with were Dan Hamilton and his Infectious crew, renowned for having it a little bit too large. Courtesy of Infectious Greg played at The Bomb and Stealth with Yousef, Tim Sheridan, Trophy Twins and Justin Long.
Meanwhile, Leeds was to be the experimental abode for Owen over the next three years. Owens inspiration came from a local DJ, known only by some as Monsieur Moutarde, who housed a plethora of rare disco and funk in his loft. It was this collection that broadened the musical horizons of Gemini number two.
The pair set sail for that infamous White Isle in 2004 prancing around for Manumission and Judgment Sundays. By the time the next summer had rolled onto that magical Mediterranean island they were armed with a set of CDJs and a suitcase full of tricks. First causing a stir at Savannah’s, they cranked it up for the Manumission after parties and ended the season with the weird and twisted Rave in a Cave.
Next stop came the Asian destination of South Korea. A month into their stay in Busan they had secured a weekly gig at Busan’s most famous ex pat hangout Soul Trane. The flavour of the night was a cocktail of funk, disco and house, with a dash of experimentalism to spice up the mix. Their yearn to pump out some naughty techy beats was met by a monthly spot at Vinyl Underground, the city’s number one techno club.
At the end of an alcohol fuelled year in Korea the three were in search of pastures new, so they set off of their long awaited trip around Asia. A sprinkling of sets appeared including a memorable New Years Eve party at Chitwan festival in Nepal, where 2000 locals got down to some jungle beats.
Thailand drew them close as its base. In April they teamed up with Hof Art and Tiger Beer to provide an action packed Hof Art 3rd anniversary. Since then they have been regularly asked to play at the openings of new exhibitions and other art venues.
Seventeen Magazines booked them to play at Siam Paragon for their 6th Birthday promoting headdphone brands Skull Candy and Audio Technica. More recently they played for RainDogs on NYE.
This dynamic duo’s forte is spooky dark tech house to more bouncy punchy flavours although they do like to keep it fresh and mash it up by slipping other ingredients into the mix.
